Agriculture Projects

73% of all inhabitants work as farmers. Most need the food for themselves, but some had vegetables to sell. There was no road in the village, so they couldn’t sell their products in the nearby city. To generate income for them, Tukee Nepal Society supports the building of a road that connects the village with the main road. The construction of it started about 4 years ago. So far 20 km have been built and 10 km more need to be done. As soon as the last part is finished the whole road has to be cleaned up and improved from its beginning to the end. In addition walls have to be built on both sides. The street also needs to be extended so that there is space for a 4 wheel truck to pass which will collect the vegetable and bring it quicker to the city. Due to heavy rain some components of the road are already broken and on certain parts stones need to be removed to make it a smooth ride. Tukee Nepal Society is looking for more sponsors to complete the road. When the project is finished the villagers will be able to bring their products to Dhadingbesi (the headquarter) or to Kathmandu.
